The brief called for an extension to the existing single storey dwelling, to include a garage, an additional floor and roof terrace. The result is a house that optimizes view s toward theHarbour to the one side, whilst respecting the historical streetscape on the other. Behind the carefully detailed façade of Loader Street,an open plan contemporary space is revealed. Public functions, located on the ground floor, open up onto an outside entertainment areaand pool, with bedrooms on the first floor spilling out onto a private viewing deck. Freestanding joinery units organize interior spaces.The neutral material pallet and careful detailing allow s for a timeless architectural and interior design response.
