Public Space Project, LangaUrban Design

Meyer & Associates has been appointed as part of a multi-disciplinary team to do the urban design and architectural work on this project. Essentially it entails designing a gateway public space for commuters boarding or alighting at the newly upgraded Langa Railway Station. The project had to be seamlessly integrated with other private and public initiatives in the area, including a new shopping centre and tourist initiatives. Extensive landscaping work is included in the project. Construction is expected to commence in 2014.
